O CASO DO SUDÃO DO SUL

Em 2011, o Sudão do Sul declarou sua independência do Sudão e tornou-se o país mais jovem do mundo. Desde então, viu-se diante de um desafio considerável, relacionado à construção de um aparato estatal e governamental, baixos índices humanitários, conflitos internos, desigualdade social, recessão econômica e pobreza. Tais fatos, somados à ausência de um governo efetivo, corroboram para o desenvolvimento de um cenário cada vez mais instável, fomentado pela guerra civil que se alastra desde a sua criação. Tais fatos se estendem à esfera dos direitos humanos, sobretudo no que se refere aos direitos das mulheres, uma vez que organizações regionais e relatórios das Nações Unidas relatam, constantemente, casos de violações contra a mulher. Isto é percebido por meio do aumento do índice de violência de gênero e sexual. Diante do exposto, o presente artigo visa pesquisar a respeito da situação das mulheres e seus direitos no Sudão do Sul e de que forma eles deterioraram-se desde a criação do país.Downloads
