The objective of the study was to understand how the process of construction of knowledge mobilized by professors of the stricto-sensu Postgraduate Programs in Accounting takes place. In methodological terms, in the first stage, there was a survey research, and in the second, semi-structured interviews with professors. The results showed that the most mobilized knowledge were professionals, indicating a gap in the pedagogical training of the investigated teachers. Regarding the construction of knowledge, the research findings revealed that they were built during their trajectories before entering the teaching career, in the stricto-sensu Postgraduate environment, in the experience with their masters.
