The objective of this research is to examine how the bidirectional sharing of information affects the company's performance considering the dependency relationships between the dyadic partners. The sample is composed of 270 companies in the automotive sector, being suppliers and buyers, totaling 135 dyads. From the application of statistical techniques, the results show that, even in dependence, suppliers and buyers tend to share information and that understanding the configuration of dyadic relationships, regarding the sharing of information, is essential for companies to be able to develop adaptability and improve performance.
