Aiming to understand the impacts of the changes catalyzed by the 4.0 revolution on the work of motoboys and app bikeboys, a qualitative research was carried out involving interviews with 24 delivery workers. The results showed that the technologies catalyzed by the 4.0 revolution are very present in the daily lives of these workers. On the one hand, such technologies allowed the emergence of new forms of work, which many interviewees considered an opportunity to generate income, combined with flexible working hours and the freedom to “be your own boss”. On the other hand, paradoxically, the same technology that “liberates” workers can expand control over them.
