Innovation, competitiveness and efficiency are related in the industrial field. This work aims to investigate the relationship between innovation and efficiency with competitiveness in the PIM subsectors, and tries to answer the question: do innovation and efficiency influence competitiveness in the PIM subsectors? For this, secondary data from SUFRAMA and IBGE were collected, and the multivariate linear regression method was used. The main results are that the variables investment and people engaged in innovation had high explanatory power and were statistically significant; while the innovation by cooperation variable had little explanatory power and low statistical significance of influence on the billing variable.
