Abstract

This study aimed to examine the moderation of workaholism between vocational calling and satisfaction; furthermore, to ascertain whether teachers who have their calling fulfilled are more engaged; and whether engaged teachers are more professionally satisfied. The target audience consisted of educators from different levels of education in Brazil. Methodologically, structural equation modeling with partial least squares estimation was adopted, using SmartPLS software. Among the results, the research revealed a positive relationship between calling, engagement, and professional satisfaction; as well as evidenced the moderating effect of workaholism on engagement and teacher professional fulfillment.
