Abstract

This article covers a historical reconstruction of the American civil society, going through the phases of the industrial revolution and through the development of several and important doctrines that guided the construction of all US foreign policy. For this, it seeks to contextualize and investigate the US technological superiority from the aerospace sector and the use of international institutions to ensure the achievement of its geopolitical objectives. The research finds that the United States of America maintains an interventionist foreign policy, and that due to its techno-scientific and industrial development, it was able, from the second half of the 20th century, to also dispute space. In this scenario, guaranteeing the protection of its space technologies, as well as the advantageous use of the Alcântara Launch Center, constitutes an objective to be pursued by the USA.
