Abstract

The work uses the language of photography, traversed and crossed by body art, to address processes of mourning, struggle, and vulnerabilities. The modified body and bodily fluids revise, stir and reassemble memories. It seeks to echo. And, who knows, make light in a world built to offer darkness to us, the locks.

Author Biography

T. Angel, Universidadade de São Paulo, Brasil

T. Angel (ela/elu) é uma pessoa Freak, trans não-binárie, mestranda em Educação na FE-USP, historiadora (FIEO, 2012), com especialização em Educação Inclusiva (FMU,2018) e MBA em Gestão Escolar (USP/Esalq, 2021).  É artista da performance, ativista pelos direitos humanos e dos animais, trabalha com educação pública na periferia de Osasco, onde vive. Há duas décadas pesquisa a modificação e suspensão corporal, assim como os diferentes usos do corpo. Seus estudos estão disponíveis na plataforma eletrônica FRRRKguys (2006), no livro A Modificação Corporal no Brasil: 1980-1990 (Editora CRV, 2015) e na websérie Sauntering (2016). Nos últimos anos tem feito palestras sobre a questão da educação, dissidências, direitos humanos e da natureza. Está nas redes eletrônicas como @tang3l.
