The paper presents a discussion of concepts such as nation and identity in the work A chuva pasmada by Mozambican author Mia Couto, aimed to children and juvenile public. The perspective of the child narrator in the book reveals a range of meanings in the relationship between childhood identity and postcoloniality, and together with the metaphors created from the water element, create the narrative fluid boundaries between history and story.Downloads
