Abstract

This is a reading about the chronicles from Ana Paula Tavares which were recently published on the site Rede Angola. The writer – a poet of excellence – makes use of metaphors that cross several of her texts, which multifaceted and meandering paths turn them into trips within the time and words. Metaphors of pain, fears, oppressions, silences, violence, but also of utopias, traditions and dreams that need to be critically rethought, especially today, when we are celebrating forty years of independence of Angola.
