Abstract

The objetive of this article is to reflect on self-confrontation as an ergological device and its methodological contributions to research on work in the field of Administration, based on results obtained in a survey of traffic agents in the municipality of Betim. As a method, it was a qualitative, descriptive study, which used, as an instrument of data production, the technique of simple and cross-confrontation, the sample was composed of the confrontations carried out between a working pair, during a year. As main results, it was possible to observe how the confrontation between the workers and their image at work allowed them to relive the experiences of their choices and the way to mobilize their knowledge, their values, their understanding of the context and, above all, of what is required your body at work. In addition to the validity of the method for investigating the organization and improving working conditions, from an ergological perspective.
