Abstract

The work approaches the trajectory of feminism from a historical perspective, pointing out the theoretical-conceptual diversity built over three chronological periods, consolidating itself as a political and theoretical-epistemological project. It analyzes and describes how feminist discussions and their developments emerged, which evolved into theoretical formulations on gender. It situates the conceptualization of feminism and, later, presents the so-called waves and their approaches, evidencing the constant self-criticism that these studies make of the construction of their thinking and theories. Finally, among the contributions that the text seeks to provide, it highlights the impossibility of studying gender without establishing relationships with feminist movements.
