Abstract

The objective of the research was to analyze the experiences of black students in Higher Education at the Federal University of Rondônia. Three undergraduate students were interviewed remotely. The results indicate that socioeconomic, gender and racial conditions hindered access to university and permanence in this stage of education. On the other hand, the academic experiences strengthened the constitution of racial and gender identity and contributed to the resistance of the participants. The relevance of programs to support the permanence in the institution and the need for differentiated policies to welcome women who are mothers were evidenced.
