UMA ANÁLISE DO CAMPO POLÍTICO E DAS CANDIDATURAS TRANS NAS ELEIÇÕES MUNICIPAIS BRASILEIRAS DE 2020

Abstract

The present study is based on the exploration of the Brazilian political field and the analysis of the candidacies of trans people in the 2020 municipal electoral process, understanding how this phenomenon occurs and observing data contained in the TSE (Superior Electoral Court) database. Based on approaches to the consolidation of trans activism, descriptive representation, as well as the analysis of the occupation of the electoral arena through the concept of political capital, the aforementioned research aims to give greater visibility to investigations that deal with gender and politics, more precisely regarding to the demands of trans people.
