This study aims to analyze the experiences of violence among women in situations of homelessness from a gender perspective. It is an exploratory-descriptive study with a qualitative approach, conducted in southern Brazil in 2019. A semi-structured questionnaire and narrative interviews were applied. The research involved 22 women, all of whom reported experiencing some form of violence, with an emphasis on violence among peers, sexual violence, and institutional violence perpetrated by police officers and protective institutions. It was concluded that these experiences had significant psychosocial impacts and played a role in leading women to the streets or keeping them there.
