This article discusses the concept of feminization of aging, in an approach that addresses the themes of ageism and gender. The proposed objective is to evaluate the National Health Policy for the Elderly from an intersectional perspective. To this end, intersectionality is taken as a method and theoretical framework. As a result, it was found that despite the scope and generality that is imposed on national policies, in the specific case of the National Health Policy for the Elderly, the intersectional view and gender challenges in aging were observed by the formulators of this public policy.
