INTERVENTION IN SCHOOLS: ROLE OF PSYCHOLOGY IN PREVENTING VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN

Violence against women is a concerning phenomenon in our country and considered a severe violation of rights. This paper is a report of the work done on a University Extension Project which aimed to debate manifestations and mechanisms of violence against women, as well as developing skills for its identification and confrontation, with teenagers (middle and high school) and teachers, using yarning circles and dialogued exposure. The school is a fundamental institution to prevent such violence because of its constitution as a space for equity and formation.
