Abstract

In this text, we present an analysis carried out based on the government plans of six candidates, all men, for the mayor of João Pessoa, PB, in the 2024 elections. It was possible to observe the presence of discussion about gender violence in most of the political proposals. However, the intertwining between education, genders and sexualities was avoided by everyone, as an issue that does not deserve real attention. The research highlights the urgency of expanding the discussion about genders and sexualities in the scope of Education, in promoting respect for diversity and building livable life spaces for all people.
