We aim to analyze how gender and sexuality issues permeate the experiences and permanence of women in the practice of Judo in the city of Dourados/MS and the region. It is qualitative research. Field research was used, with an application of an online questionnaire. Twenty-one women participated in the study. Among the results obtained, we highlight the prejudices and stereotypes still rooted in society, which perpetuate gender binarisms and the lightened reproduction of “social roles” based on a perception of normative masculinities and femininities. We evidenced the presence of gender violence, psychological and physical violence, harassment, and sexual abuse experienced by athletes in Judo.
