WOMEN IN SITUATIONS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: A STUDY IN A UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL IN PARANÁ

Abstract

The present article aims to describe the socioeconomic profiles of women experiencing domestic violence and narrate some of these, reported at a health device. To that end, a survey was carried out of data recorded on violence cases treated in an Emergency Room (ER) of a University Hospital (UH) in Paraná, between 2020 to 2021. A total of 227 cases of violence against women were identified, of which 66 cases were selected of domestic violence for qualitative analysis. Thus, the relevance of the notification for the construction of reception strategies in a UH for women in situations of violence is highlighted.
