In this work, the objective is to understand how young people are represented in Daqui, the most print vehicle circulation in Goiás, in a comparative study between three months of 2010 and 2014. We realized that, since 2010, Daqui makes a connection between youth, poverty and danger in his speech. In 2014, the focus of representation was moved to the explanation of the increase in violence in Goiania and in Goiás as a result of the involvement of young people by use and drug trafficking. It promotes the construction of stigmas, as the stereotypes of the poor young people as a dangerous, violent and a criminal person.
Keywords: violence, media; social representations.
