Aims and Profile

The main objective of Passages: International Review of Political History and Legal Culture is to increase academic sociability and exchanges in the intellectual fields of human and social sciences, emphasizing studies of political history and of legal culture. Passages supports the spreading of works in progress that contributes to the deepening of inter and multi field researches, giving visibility to relevant discussion in Brazil, and abroad, strategically enhancing South America, without disregarding the international scope of the review. Passages has as a priority condition the publication of original articles that have clearly stated their methodological dimension. The articles are submitted to an evaluation process, through reports of editorial board (double blinded). Passages accepts articles in four languages: Portuguese, Spanish, French and English, and is published electronically three times a year: January, May and September.

Passages: International Review  of Political History and Culture of Law (‘Passagens: Revista Internacional de História Política e Cultura Jurídica”, in Portuguese) is an initiative of the Research Group (City and Power Laboratory) founded in the beginning of the nineties and active in the Institute of Philosophy and Human Sciences of the Fluminense Federal University, in Niterói, Rio de Janeiro – singular center and area of academic multi-field practices and exchanges, in the area of human and social sciences. Situated in the scope of the History postgraduate program, the LCP (City and Power Laboratory) gathers professors and researches affiliated to political sciences, sociology and law and psychology postgraduate programs.
