This article explores knowledge management in the contemporary context, highlighting its importance for value creation and organizational competitiveness. It focuses on Petrobras’ new employee training program, which plays a crucial role in building a strong organizational culture and disseminating corporate values. Through a literature review, analysis of internal documents, and interviews, the study describes the initial experience of new hires at Petrobras University and the impact of the training program on adaptation and skills development. The training includes onboarding modules that cover gamification, diversity, equity, and inclusion, with an emphasis on events focused on racial and gender equity, as well as awareness-raising on human rights for the LGBTQIA+ community and people with disabilities. The article concludes that these initiatives not only promote inclusion and respect but are also essential for the perpetuation of a robust organizational culture and the sustainable development of the company.
