Walks With What Is Said to Be Established is a series of drawings created to be activated in public spaces through walking, play, and the landscape, where the moving body serves as the primary instrument of interpretation. The videos and photographs presented here are records and evidence of these actions.
By tracing letters, geometries, ornaments, and structures onto the landscape using ephemeral materials, the project contrasts what humanity has declared to be stable (language, form, gender, history, or nature) with the changing environment that sustains them and eventually dissolves them. Thus, these concepts exist within a momentary agreement between human intention and its variable environment. This coexistence of the symbolic and the perishable challenges the unbreakability of civilization’s systems by acknowledging them as changing, playful, transitory, and human.
