Soccer is one of the Brazilian cultural traits, widely disseminated, capable of mobilizing different themes in its mediatized condition. This article aims to explore the constitution of cultural identity guided by mediatized Brazilian soccer and the resulting communicative expressions of recognition. Therefore, it makes an initial journey based on multiple cases involving racism, machismo and homophobia. The corpus’ examination is carried out through content and discourse analysis. As a result, the presence of independent initiatives in causes stands out, in addition to the categories of degradation or offense and historical resumption in messages with mentions of personal profiles. Discourse analysis shows how identities are constituted in interdiscourse in mediations and mediatization of soccer.
