This article develops a reflection on the possibility of using Restorative Justice in cases of domestic and family violence against women, more specifically in initiatives aimed at men who commit violence, in order to promote reflection on the construction of new standards masculinities that can contribute to the end of the violent cycle, looking beyond the mere punishment that is the basis of the traditional penal system. Thus, he asks: to what extent restorative practices can assist in the search not only for punishment of the aggressor, but also provide a space for understanding the seriousness of the consequences of violent conduct, and the possibility of building new patterns of masculinities that are not sustain through violent behavior? The approach method is hypothetical-deductive, using the bibliographic research technique for data collection.
