Abstract

The essay analyzes Physical Education, based on the contradictions of formation, curriculum and professional practice. For that, it uses the question of the instrumentality in the Brazilian reality. (and some aspects of the Portuguese reality) It highlights the sub-themes of the national curriculum guidelines, the common national curriculum base and the integrality of the school. It concludes by refounding the area of ​​Physical Education.
