HOW MANY ARE AND WHAT PROFILE DO THESE PROJECTS HAVE?

Abstract

The information relative to the number of popular prep school existing in the State of Rio de Janeiro is imprecise, since there is no organization, collective or research group responsible for this systematic and continuous survey and monitoring. In addition, we know that many popular prep school - as they are collective, non-institutionalized, unfunded and dependent on voluntary work - face various difficulties in continuing their work over the years, ranging between periods with greater and lesser commitment of volunteers, student demand and local support. Therefore, the number of active popular prep school can vary greatly from one year to another, as does the location where these projects are developed. In this article, we present a mapping process of popular prep school in the State of Rio de Janeiro, carried out throughout 2019 and the first half of 2020, and we discuss some features of these projetcs.This work was part of a master's research and enabled the organization of the digital booklet “Mapping of Popular Prep School in the State of Rio de Janeiro” and the georeferencing of these projects on Google Maps.

De novembro de 2014 á Janeiro de 2017 integrou o quadro de fotógrafos da OS Viva Rio e do projeto Viva Favela. Participou das exposições coletivas “Caçadores de Sonhos”, Galeria 535, em 2010, e “Prazer, sou do Povo”, no CCMLSL, em Santa Tereza, em 2011, "3 anos de Favela em Foco" Galeria 535, em 2012, dos livros "Imagens do Povo" 2012, "Nos" 2015 e "Amaro da Maré" 2016.
