This study aimed to investigate the concept of intersectoriality from the document Step by Step: Intersectoriality paths and their
developments in the Education of Youth and Adults of a public school. In detriment
of the specificity of this study - EJA - the investigative developments were conducted in only two schools, because of the program's restricted support to this teaching modality. The methodological scope was developed through documental analysis
related to the PSE and qualitative field research. The instrument used to produce the
empirical data emerged from the semi-structured interviews conducted with teachers, management team, nurses, and members of the Municipal GTI. The results revealed
that: a) there is a difference in the program development in the investigated schools, evidencing signs that the ordinary subjects interfere locally in the policies established by the public power; b) the document presents its constitution centered in the biomedical paradigm because if, on one hand, we noticed the qualification of the professionals who participated in the elaboration of the document centered in the
health scope, on the other hand, the actions proved to be entangled in the diseases aggravation; c) the speeches that emerge from the document, despite advocating for
intersectoriality and interdisciplinarity, are presented in the school daily routine as a
practice that subordinates the subjects living in this space; d) Finally, the data evidence a divergence between what is said and what is performed in the school daily
routine since it reduces the participation of subjects only in the execution of actions prepared a priori by the health sector.
