Vladimir Sobkin, Russian Academy of Education - RAO

Sobkin Vladimir Samuilovich (September 10, 1948, Moscow), director of the Center of Sociology of Education RAO, Doctor of Psychology, Professor, Academician of RAO. In 1972 he graduated from the Faculty of Psychology. Winner of the Prize of the President of the Russian Federation in the field of education (2002).

From 1974 to 1990 he worked at the Institute of Art Education of Pedagogical Sciences of the USSR, first as a junior, and from 1986 - senior researcher. 1988-1990 In parallel with the work of the Research Institute of the USSR Academy of Pedagogical Sciences XB was the deputy head of INEC "School" at the State Committee for Science and Education of the USSR, he headed the laboratory in parallel educational sociology. From 1990 to 1992 he worked in the pedagogical innovations of the USSR APN Center as the head of the laboratory of educational sociology, and since 1991 - the deputy director. In the same period he was a member of the Board of the Ministry of Education of Russia, Advisor to the Minister of Education of the Russian Federation. In this position, he was the organizer of the National Center for the Sociology of Education at the Ministry of Education and supervised by the Sociological Service of the Ministry of Education. Between 1993 and currently director of the Center for the Sociology of Education RAO. It was one of the founders and more than 10 years as head of the psychological faculty of educational institutions Jewish University in Moscow (2004 - Higher School of Humanities named after S. Dubnov.).

In 1982 he defended his thesis in psychology on "Psychological analysis of literary development of senior levels", and in 1997 - his doctoral thesis "in the high school age dynamics of value orientations." In 1992 he was elected a Corresponding Member of RAO, 2001 - a full member (academician) of the RAO.

Participated in the development of the "Concept of the general secondary education", "Concept art education and aesthetic education", directed (together with VS Lazarev) development programs of Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation "Russian education in the transition period: the program of stabilization and development", took part in the the drafting of certain articles of the Law "on education", the draft law "on changes and amendments to the" Law on education "draft Presidential Decree" on the support of the Russian Federation of the integration processes in the field of education in the Commonwealth of Independent States.
