Abstract

Este trabalho põe à vista a primeira análise exploratória de dados relacionais sobre os migrantes retornados valadarenses dos EUA. Pela análise estatística de 32 variáveis (17 variáveis estruturais e 15 variáveis de atributos) e da análise de variância, verifica-se a existência de forte associação entre a composição das redes pessoais e o tipo de trajetória empreendida pelo migrante internacional. A distinção estrutural concreta entre os migrantes regulares e irregulares encontra suporte e expressão na organização da “rede institucional” de agenciadores que favorece a alternativa da migração irregular. Pessoas com parâmetros estruturais específicos tendem a “escolher” (ou são constrangidas formalmente a escolher) a ação intermediária das redes de agenciadores da migração irregular.
