AUTOGESTION AND AUTONOMY: ANALYZING THE REFLEXES OF AUTOGESTIONARY PROCESSES RELATED TO HOUSING PRODUCTION IN BELO HORIZONTE

The article aims to understand the legacy of autogestionary processes related to housing production in Belo Horizonte, in order to evaluate whether the autonomist content that permeates its origin is accomplished. Four experiences were analyzed through interviews with people directly involved in the production process: the housing complexes Urucuia, Villarégia and Serra Verde – outcomes of public policy programs – and vila Eliana Silva, originated from an urban land occupation. Initially, the concepts of autogestion and autonomy are discussed, followed by the ways in which theory is put into practice in housing production. Subsequently, it elucidates the process of access to land and how labor on the construction site occurs; the intention is to detect its current daily life impact. Final considerations indicate paths to expand the autonomist potential in housing production experiences.
