REFORMA AGRÁRIA POPULAR E ORGANIZAÇÃO TERRITORIAL NA CONSTRUÇÃO ONTOPRÁTICA DE COMUNIDADES RURAIS NO ESTADO DO PARANÁ

Abstract

This paper analyzes the planning and territorial organization experiences of rural communities, particularly within the context of the Popular Agrarian Reform proposed by the Movimento dos Trabalhadores Rurais Sem-Terra (MST). The research explores how these practices promote the construction of life projects and socio-spatial relationships that challenge traditional models imposed by the State. The analysis of five settlements in Paraná highlights the need to revise traditional agrarian reform settlement models in Brazil, in light of new social, environmental, and production demands. The MST’s Popular Agrarian Reform proposal challenges the "Classic Agrarian Reform" model, offering an alternative for more inclusive and sustainable development based on territorial autonomy, community participation, and resistance to agribusiness dynamics. The concept of "ontopractice" is used to understand the critical practice that articulates the five lived and perceived experiences of the communities in organizing their territories, testing the importance of a struggle horizon that emphasizes respect for local specificities and the history of the communities, which, although participating in a broader movement, maintain particularities in their practices of coexistence and territorial organization.
