Update of author guidelines and editorial policies

The editorial committee informs that the author guidelines for the journal Geographia have been updated.
Manuscripts submitted from October 8, 2024, must comply with the new guidelines.
Among the changes are:
- Creation of an Ethics Policy [https://periodicos.uff.br/geographia/ethicspolicy] following the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) code of conduct, which must be followed by editors, editorial staff, reviewers, and authors.
- Acceptance of preprints following the open science movement.
- Manuscript identification page [https://periodicos.uff.br/geographia/libraryFiles/downloadPublic/417], a document used to collect additional information about the manuscript to be submitted to the journal.
- Authorship credit must be defined according to the Credit taxonomy. It is necessary to indicate the type of contribution of each author during the preparation of the manuscript [https://periodicos.uff.br/geographia/credit].
- Research data should be reported, when possible, as long as they are deposited in data repositories for reuse or sharing [https://periodicos.uff.br/geographia/about/submissions].
- DOI requirement in references for those that have it, with complete guidelines in the Author Guidelines [https://periodicos.uff.br/geographia/about/submissions].
