Mapping in the paths of the world: from the seringalista territoriality (the seringal) to the seringueira territoriality (the extractive reserve) is one of the greatest works of Brazilian Geography. Here, in this short text, I seek to identify and present the most important and original contributions and formulations of the masterpiece by Carlos Walter Porto-Gonçalves. I hope, thus, to pay a brief tribute to the one who was a master to all of us.
