Catarina Nunes de Almeida’s strange children

The present essay aims at introducing the Catarina Nunes de Almeida’s poetry works by showing some of the important features on her two published books, from 2006 and 2008. Therefore, it focus on the metamorphosis process on multiple levels of this new Portuguese poet’s language. Observing the erotism and water as they develop the changes, it also searches for establishing relations between her poems and a list of mirabilia, at the same time that it intends to show a few of the Portuguese cultural tradition it is proposed.
