Militia and the process of individuation: between the lack and the failure of the State

Abstract

In this article, we reflected on how the lack and failure of the State intervenes in the process of individuation underscoring that the individuation of the subject by the State, according to Orlandi (2012), is a political issue because of the relationship of the individual with society. For this reason, we observed the configuration of the militia in the space of slum and in relation to the State. At the same time, we explicate some discursivities, which set out the way in which the militia is identified in discourses about it, especially in an interview conducted with residents of Rio de Janeiro.

Greciely Cristina da Costa, Universidade do Vale do Sapucaí (UNIVÁS)

Possui mestrado e doutorado em Linguística pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas. Durante seu doutoramento, realizou um estágio de pesquisa (doutorado sanduíche) na Université de Paris XIII (França). Atualmente, é professora do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Ciências da Linguagem e coordenadora do Núcleo de Pesquisas em Linguagem (NUPEL), da Universidade do Vale do Sapucaí (UNIVÁS). Tem experiência na área de Linguística, com ênfase em Análise de Discurso. Dentre suas publicações, temos Linguagem e Historicidade, livro organizado em parceria com Débora Massmann publicado pela Editora RG (2013), e Denominação: um percurso de sentidos entre espaços e sujeitos, artigo publicado na Revista Rua (2012).
