Latin America in the Literary Supplement of the daily newspaper Minas Gerais (1969-1973)
Keywords:
Literary Supplement of Minas Ge¬rais, Latin American interaction, 60s and 70sAbstract
Interactions between Brazil and Spanish-American countries took place in various ways during the 60s and 70s. The Literary Supplement of the daily newspaper Minas Gerais (first published in 1966) published Spanish-American criticism and literature in an effort to eliminate Brazilian isolation from other Latin American countries. In the face of a vast material extant, this study chooses from interviews and panoramic texts to highlight reviews that give food for reflection on the works recommended to readers of the Supplement. As a result, scholars today can reconstruct aspects of the interaction between Brazil and the rest of Latin America and the critical reception from both the Brazilian and other points of view.Downloads
