Patrick Chamoiseau: ethnography and fiction
Keywords:
ethnography, fiction, metaethnographyAbstract
This paper endeavours to show how the West lndian writer Patrick Chamoiseau mixes up ethnography and literature in his works. The essay of ethnographic reconstruction in the authors's novels does not intend to simply list the popular culture of his country but also to highlight a kind of field research procedure of a metaethnographic nature that, in a broader perspective, questions the patterns of discipline themselves.Downloads
