TRANSCENDENCE AND BODINESS: THE EXPERIENCE OF GOD ACCORDING TO ADELIA PRADO

The article tries to study Adélia Prado's work, mostly her books in prose, departing from the interaction between experience of the divine and the transcendent and bodiness. The perspective used to realize such a study is the one of theology and spirituality Because of that, the itinerary of the article is Adélia's mystics while it is experience of sexual being and, at the same time, of being made for communion with the mistery of God. In their feminine bodiness female characters of Adélia's novels experience the drama and the wonder of being finite and, nevertheless, created for the communion with the infinite transcendence. Through her characters, it is the autor herself who tells her itinerary to a relationship with the divine, wich includes her own body and her capacity of suffering and joy, in all steps of life. Beginning with her maturity of her 40 years old, Adélia Prado's bodiness tells through hall her books about the desire of mistery, of sexuality as means to achieve it and salvation experienced through the major act of writing and poetry.
