Abstract

This paper focuses on the meanings and implication of "homosexual community", in two directions. Firstly, it develops an introductory study on the term, as a way to grasp its relevance for Brazilian fictional products, in order to analyze their matter. Caio Fernando Abreu's, João Silvério Trevisan's and Herbert Daniel's narratives are seen as particularly challenging.

Mestre em Teoria Literária e Doutor em Literatura Comparada pela Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, é Professor do Departamento de Comunicação Social da mesma instituição e Docente do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Comunicação.
