‘Obliviscitur’: city of memory in Carlos Drummond de Andrade
Keywords:
Carlos Drummond de Andrade, memory/forgetfulness, city.Abstract
Suspended between remembrance and forgetfulness, between archaic and modern, between field and city, Drummond's poetry seems to find in Itabira the emblematic place of mediation between such opposites. City of memory and oblivion, it shows off in Drummond's verses as the dimension - aerial and telluric at the same time- where everything concentrates and dilutes in Time transfigurations.
