Abstract

The Mozambican contemporary poetry works with dreams, wishes, feelings, landscapes and memories residues that resisted to wars and resists, today, to new social and political pressures. If during the struggle time for country liberation, a significant portion of the poems made herself ideological combat weapon against the colonialism, nowadays, the poetical speechs reveal themselves by different orders, presenting other ways to resist.

Doutora em Letras Vernáculas (1992), Professora de Literaturas Africanas de Língua Portuguesa na Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, pesquisadora do CNPq. Publicou: Marte e prazer em João do Rio (1976), Além da idade da razão (1994), Guia bibliográfico das literaturas africanas em bibliotecas do RJ (1996), Antologias do mar na poesia africana (1997-1998), Antologia do mar na poesia angolana (2000).
