Abstract

This paper presents an experimental translation of selected excerpts from essays on Franz Kafka’s fictional and diarylike writings, written over more than twenty years by Maurice Blanchot.  With the experimental expedient we seek to expose the affinity between the two authors’ aporetical vision of literary creation, especially with regard to their relationship with writing and the importance of dying as an element of unending resignification.

Susana Kampff Lages, Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF)

É professora de Língua e Literatura Alemã da Universidade Federal Fluminense. Tem como foco de pesquisa a relação entre literatura, crítica e tradução na obra de autores da modernidade. É tradutora de Franz Kafka e Walter Benjamin. Atualmente trabalha em projeto de pesquisa que envolve tradução, autobiografia e a forma do livro e que se volta para a tradução e o comentário de textos de Franz Kafka.
