O possessivo seu - diferentes tipos de ambigüidade e de posse

This paper is a study of different kinds of ambiguity observed in different kinds of possession involving uses of the possessive of third person in Brazilian Portuguese (seu). With theoretical support provided by the Funcionalist Model, it aims to show that seu _ that theoretically can be used like possessive of second person of singular (você), third person of singular (ele), second person of plural (vocês) and third person of plural (eles) - has became possessive of você exclusively, because, just in this case, any kind of ambiguity is observed.
