The RADICAL AND PLURAL DEMOCRACY AS A METHOD OF ANALYSIS IN CRITICAL GEOPOLITICS

With the end of the Cold War, the idea emerged that neoliberalism would be the only way to build democracy. This advent brought the prospect of disregarding other forms of democracy. In contrast to this perspective in geopolitics, critical geopolitics emerges, a strand that analyzes the discourses and influence on the power relations of Western powers. However, aspects of critical geopolitics do not consider radical democracy as an alternative form of analysis based on the rise of neoliberal rationality. This article aims to develop a perspective of critical geopolitical analysis based on radical democracy, based on a theoretical essay on these topics. This analysis is only possible by looking at other democracies from an agonist perspective. It should be noted that the purpose of the article is not the applicability of the analysis, but rather the establishment of a concise method that demonstrates another perspective of geopolitical analysis through the conception that the legitimacy of other people's democracy goes beyond neoliberal precepts.
