The research aimed to comparatively understand the experiences of pleasure-suffering formed by the dynamics of recognition of teaching work, in schools with contrasting performances, under the lens of Psychodynamics of Work. A survey investigates whether there is a difference in the dynamics of recognition and in the experiences of pleasure-suffering of teachers who attend schools with different performances in the Basic Education Development Index (IDEB). The methodology was qualitative in nature with interviews with third-year teachers. Differentiation was identified in the teachers' experiences in comparison to the different performances of the schools in the IDEB. This result confirmed the commitment assumed in the research.
