Abstract

The parallel reality within psychiatric hospitals is more real than stipulated. Wass, walls and sentences. Left to fend on their for themselves, patients are prisoners of the social exclusion system. Their bodies are enclosed, the subjectivities of their selfs are killed, and their humanities are erased. From Hospital Colônia to the anti-asylum fight, evolutions and threats to the setbacks in mental health in Brazil and the urgent need for a position. It's possible to observe a fine line between alterity and power, madness and dangerousness, in a way that makes the perception of psychology and politics to be indissociable.
