(Re)Conhecendo a Amazônia Negra is a visual and political narrative about the constitution and memory of brazilian black population, rooted in the Amazonian region. Situated on the visual arts field, it proposes a practical and imagetic meditation about the geopolitics of brazilian bodies-identities, also approaching the economy itself as a system and operational agent of a white, colonial, and still functional normative, in a way that recognize a black Amazon surprises us.
