Departing from the film Os Cosmonautas (1962) by Victor Lima, a national SF that tells the story of a very confused Brazilian space mission, the analysis highlights two relevant female characters – the scientist Alice (Telma Elita) and the alien Krina Iris (Neide Aparecida). When approaching the film based on gender issues, the hypothesis is that the production comically explores the construction of its characters, foreseeing other possibilities of existence for feminist studies in Brazilian cinema in the midst of such a hybrid and, perhaps, cinematographic genre. for some, nonexistent. Thus, we point to debauchery and comic treatment as a valid means of analysis, taking into account prerogatives that privilege the treatment of the body as a form of autonomy for female characters.
